How can we explain the importance of freedom if we hide the experiences of the lack of freedom?

The Cuban Wall is up and has lasted much longer than the Berlin Wall. When we are missing some of the ingredients that shaped the historical material to the German city, iron, stone and cement, but it has plenty of the components of hate, fear, intolerance, and blood were present at the fateful party wall that built the Unified Socialist Germany in 1961 under the mandate of the President of the State Council, Walter Ulbricht.
These happy 20 years after the fall Berlin Wall have influenced the 50 years with that of Cuba, increasing poverty, uncertainty, confusion and horror of those who suffer. The island wall has been devastating to several generations of Cubans, has affected the national character, initiative and human solidarity.
Our wall has unfortunately not inspiring the repudiation of Berlin, nor the level of contempt that generates that Israel is building along its border with the West Bank. The Cuban Wall has advocates and those who justify it, including many who made strenuous efforts to bring down the Berlin or protest against Israel.
The wall Castro, although it has no physical presence in the mind of many. Distrust of the friend, family and neighbors. Lack of hope to fight for change and demolish the bricks that will alienate while crushing.
Cuba has so many ingredients totalitarian German Democratic Republic. The political police of the island has little or nothing to envy to the Stasi, it is also able to arrest your will and dictate to the courts to apply the sanction in each case. Individual rights are violated by the government. The prisons are home to hundreds of political prisoners and thousands are held captive for some absurd prohibition violated state.
The Stasi was a security agency of gigantic dimensions. It is estimated that in 1989 the integrated operators 90.000, 200.000 people served as informants and dozens of prisons were used to shelve `` thousands''of individuals who lacked the provision `` what is not expressly authorized is prohibited.''

Those who are against all the walls should not forget the Cuban. This virtual wall erected by the regime has been the cause direct hundreds of thousands of men and women have passed through the prisons and thousands more have perished in the wall or in the struggle against totalitarianism. Another large number of people who tried to escape the island dictatorship have died or disappeared at sea.
The Cuban regime's political structure, its character, hegemonic, extreme cruelty and the vocation to interfere in the affairs of other nations joined the messianic characteristics of its leadership has put the regime in Havana in a much more complex and destabilizing in the past held the late GDR.
Lech Walesa said that the wall Berlin began to lose their first stones in Poland in the 80, but you should not ignore that some of these walls are erected in Cuba and sought to spread across America.
